Bowman II LLC is the personal investment company of Michael Marino, who is its sole shareholder.

Bowman, Marino or affiliates ("Bowman/Marino") are investors in the public equity markets in the US and internationally; and, in the private markets, invested in and managed companies and assets in financial services, commercial and residential real estate, and retailing. Mr. Marino also co-founded the ship management company Kontor 17 MPM GmbH.


Public Markets

In the public equity markets, the Bowman/Marino investment philosophy is illustrated by long-term investments in Berkshire Hathaway Inc. and Brookfield Asset Management Inc.


Currencies

The Bowman/Marino cryptocurrency portfolio is predominately invested in Bitcoin and Etherium, and in certain alternatives to Etherium.


Private Markets

In financial services, Mr. Marino co-founded the investment bank MeesPierson EurAmerica Limited, of which he was Chief Executive, and, together with his partners, sold the firm to ABN-AMRO Bank; and he co-founded the hedge fund manager Prospero Advisors Limited, of which he was Chief Executive. Prospero co-managed Pan European Fund Limited, which achieved an average return of approximately 20 percent per annum over four years before returning capital to its investors.

In real estate, Mr. Marino was an investor in 63 Wall Street, 67 Wall Street and 20 Exchange Place, for which he helped raise a total of approximately $500 million of first mortgage and mezzanine financing for their acquisition and subsequent conversion from commercial offices to residential rental apartments.

Mr. Marino was a shareholder in the retailing and real estate company Eastbridge Sarl and, as Chief Executive, led the restructuring and turnaround of the company which resulted in a 16x increase in its equity value during his six year tenure as CEO.

Mr. Marino is a graduate of Haverford College in Pennsylvania.
